3WB, Three Winans Brothers, made their much-anticipated live debut yesterday at the historic 50th Anniversary March on Washington ceremonies at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. The legendary trio - comprised of multiple GRAMMY® Award-winners BeBe, Marvin, and Carvin Winans - premiered their extraordinary new single, "If God Be For Us," which will be featured on their as-yet-untitled debut album, slated for release in early 2014. Penned by BeBe Winans, "If God Be For Us" is released this week.
The Winans Family is of course among the most celebrated dynasties in the annals of American musical history, undisputed icons of gospel, soul, and R&B for more than three decades. Long praised for his remarkable gifts as vocalist, songwriter, producer, and performer, BeBe has achieved unprecedented success as both solo artist as well as alongside sister CeCe in the renowned duo, BeBe & CeCe Winans. At the same time, older brothers Carvin and Marvin earned comparable applause as two-thirds of The Winans, acclaimed for their groundbreaking combination of traditional gospel with modern urban sound and style. Over their illustrious careers all three brothers have been feted with innumerable awards and honors, each one a six-time GRAMMY® Award-winner for a cumulative 18 GRAMMYs between them. Now, as 3WB, Three Winans Brothers, these remarkable artists come together as a trio for the first time ever, blending their countless gifts into an astonishing, powerful, and passionate new vehicle for contemporary inspirational music.
